53 models in our EOSL library reach end of service life in 2028. On that date the OEM stops selling support contracts for them. The table below lists each one by date, with the source for the date.

What EOSL means for a box in production

End of service life is the date the manufacturer stops selling support contracts for a model. The hardware keeps running. What goes away is the OEM parts depot and the OEM engineers for that model. After that date, a failed drive or controller is your problem unless someone else holds the spares.

What you can do before the date

Refresh early
You buy new hardware on the OEM calendar instead of your own.
Self-spare
You buy used parts from brokers and fix it in-house. It works until the part you need is the one no broker has.
Third-party maintenance
We support these models 3 to 5+ years past EOSL with a 4-hour on-site SLA. Price maintenance or find parts.

EOSL dates by month

July and October have the most, with 14 each. January, February, April, June and September have none.
